David Sotelo (he/him/él)

David’s journey from Mexico to Hutchinson is a story of adversity and finding safety in a new community. After graduating from Hutchinson High School in 2015, he pursued higher education at Conception Seminary College and Holy Trinity Seminary. In 2019, he returned to Hutchinson, working as a program coordinator with Rise Up Reno Prevention Network and content specialist with BowerComm. In 2020, he became the Human Relations Officer at the City of Hutchinson, focusing on promoting harmony and combating prejudice. He leads equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts while advising community organizations. David’s passion is community building and leadership development, and he finds joy in cooking, reading, and spending time with his wife, Maddy.
