Teresa Meagher (she/her)

Teresa Meagher received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas in 1977, and a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1979 (Dec.). Ms. Meagher represents individuals on their claims for disability benefits before the Social Security Administration and the Veterans Administration. Prior to beginning her private law practice in 1994, Ms. Meagher was employed at Kansas Legal Services, Inc., serving as Project Director of the Wyandotte-Leavenworth office. She is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Veteran’s Advocates (NOVA) and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR).

What motivates me to participate on the Appleseed Board is my interest in social justice, voting rights and due process issues.
