Karen Griffiths (she/her)
Board Member
Karen is a graduate of Washburn University and Washburn University School of Law and is a partner in Sebelius, Griffiths & Horn LLP in Norton, Kansas.
Karen has a passion for service and has held many roles locally and statewide. She is a former state legislator, Norton County Attorney and Norton Assistant County Attorney for children’s issues; Court Trustee for the 17th Judicial District and Sunflower Child Support Services. She is past chair and board member of the Kansas Children’s Service League and League Foundation Member; past member of the Kansas Bar Association; past member of the Kansas Bar Association Committee on Professionalism.
Karen is a current member and vice-chair of the Norton Regional Health Foundation, current chair of the Kid’s Cafe summer food program as part of the Norton Health Foundation. She is an active member of the First United Methodist Church, advancing beliefs that are open to all walks of life.
Karen’s compassion and energy have long been the health and welfare of children and families, including making healthy food available to children and families. She is passionate about making healthy decisions affordable for families, which includes Medicaid expansion, an issue she will work on until it is accomplished in Kansas.
