Carol Beier is a former Kansas Supreme Court Justice who served from 2003 until her retirement in 2020. She was previously appointed to the Kansas Court of Appeals by Governor Bill Graves. Before joining the bench, she practiced law in Wichita and Washington, D.C., and served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit as well as a fellow at the National Women’s Law Center.

Jay Fowler has built an extensive and highly respected civil litigation practice in state and federal courts. He has taken in excess of 200 jury cases to verdict and participated in numerous negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations. Mr. Fowler has acted as lead trial lawyer in many matters and is experienced and highly regarded in the preparation and trial of jury cases. He was also an elected member of the Kansas Supreme Court Nominating Commission.
