Mike Fonkert (he/him)

As Deputy Director, Mike collaborates with the executive director to advance our mission and works directly with communities, policymakers, and legislators to advance our policy advocacy. Mike oversees all policy initiatives, serves as chief lobbyist for select issues, and collaborates with Campaign Directors in their advocacy efforts in the Statehouse. He lives in Lawrence with his wife, Maggie, three-year-old son, James, and nine-year-old Small Munsterlander (dog), Bert.
