Justice Fellowship Fund

Kansas Appleseed Justice Fellowship Fund

The Kansas Appleseed Justice Fellowship Fund provides meaningful career development opportunities, including summer internships and advocacy training, to law students and recent graduates interested in public interest advocacy. A small gift of $25 will support our rising generation of Kansas leaders and advocates and their work on public interest projects.

A Note from Brook Nasseri, Kansas Appleseed's 2018 Summer Justice Fellow:

We wanted to share a special message from Brook, whose experience was made possible by the Justice Fellowship Fund, which provides students the opportunity to help Kansans’ lives through advocacy.

Brook's message:
"I became interested in the work Kansas Appleseed does several years ago, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to join in that work as a Summer Justice Fellow. Throughout the summer, I researched systemic issues, from health and housing to racial disparities in juvenile justice. But understanding the problems does not end the work; rather, it is a first step toward solving them and inciting meaningful and long-lasting change in the lives of Kansans.

My summer fellowship allowed me to learn so much through my own research, but even more than that, I learned from the indefatigable knowledge of the Kansas Appleseed staff. Their hard work and dedication inspired me all summer and will continue to inspire me as I embark on the rest of my education and begin my own career."

Thank you, Brook, for working toward a more thriving, inclusive, and justice Kansas.

Brook is pursuing a dual Law degree and Masters of Social Work at the University of Kansas.
Kansas Appleseed is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization (FEIN # 48-1219759). Contributions are tax deductible.
