Advance Voting by Mail is a safe, secure method with a long history of success in this country dating back to the Civil War. During times like these, this option is even more important to many Kansans who are not comfortable standing in line on Election Day. However, there have been reports that ballots sent via US Mail might experience delays.

Encouraging your County Clerk to provide for secured ballot collection boxes is a way to ensure that you and your neighbors' ballots are collected in time to count this year. Take two or three minutes to send a message to your County Clerk today! At Kansas Appleseed, we're working especially hard to get out the vote in Southeast Kansas, and have created links to easily take action in the following counties:

Allen County
Anderson County
Bourbon County
Cherokee County
Crawford County
Labette County
Montgomery County
Neosho County
Wilson County
Woodson County

Live outside of Southeast Kansas? Email Caleb Smith, campaign director, and tell us which county you live in. We will send you the contact info and a sample message to send: csmith@kansasappleseed.org.

Voting–if you're able–will have an impact. It's how we make sure that those elected into office will fight for our lives and values. It's also how we can hold people who don't accountable. There are a lot more elections this fall than the presidential race: District Attorneys, Judges, State School Board, and County Commissioner positions will all be voted on in Kansas this November and they all play a vital part in your community.

Kansas Appleseed Campaign Director, Caleb Smith, is working with volunteers and advocates through Southeast Kansas to do deep, integrated voter engagement. Get in touch with Caleb at csmith@kansasappleseed.org.
